Welcome Back!
Over the holiday break, I had a chance to look at your amazing science journals.
Several assignments are missing for some of you, so I want to remind you of them here. Please check to see that you have all of these in your science journals and table of contents, or on your eportfolios.
1. Write a paragraph response to the article: Would You Drink Toilet Water? You may get an extra copy from me if you do not have the article. 10 points
2. Blue Planet: How much water do you think is drinkable (potable)?
This is a graph. See me for the information on how to do this. 10 points
3. Ocean Literacy Principles. Do you have all seven written in your journal? Is your Wordle posted on your eportfolio with sharing permissions so I can see it?
5 points.
4. Diagram of a fish. 5 points.
5. Aquarium observation, drawing, and inference. 15 points.
6. Eportfolio post about your Aquarium visit. 20 points.
7. Eportfolio post of the fish you created. 20 points.
8. Make sure your table of contents is up to date. 10 points.
January 6: New Assignment
Coral Polyp. Please draw a picture of this polyp on the page after your coral reef picture. Label these parts: tentacle, nematocyst, mouth, stomach, outer epidermis. Just draw the picture in the blank part of the paper. We will be writing about coral on the lines underneath.

January 7: How do corals grow? survival, protection, reproduction...
January 8: Recap of coral reef. Today we watched this Seascapes video (the top video on the page, 28 minutes) to review how coral reefs work. We need to know how they work in order to know how to protect them.
